    Instructor's Bio:

Kate Zambrano is a self-taught artist living in California. She was born in Texas, but decided to leave at age seventeen to begin a semi-nomadic lifestyle. She enrolled in college to study psychology, but after a while, she realized that she was more into the subject than pursuing an actual career in the field.

In 2011, Kate was introduced to the world of fine art. She spent the subsequent two years teaching herself how to draw. The journey to garner techniques through trial and error seemed daunting, but every now and then a small epiphany would occur to push her forward. Each step was a building block for the next. And so it has gone ever since. Kate is constantly learning and trying to better both herself and her work.

Kate enjoys applying her major influences together in her art - the systemic urge to understand human behavior and the beauty in expressive nuances.

    Webinar Description:

In our hustle and grind culture, experimenting, exploration, and switching gears is crucial for the artists' brain. There is a lot that goes into researching for a new medium or process, and the discipline needed to maintain a steady level of output depends greatly on keeping the mind constantly challenged. It is essential for growth. In this webinar, Kate will dive into how she balances her personal artistic growth by changing mediums, keeping hobbies, and funneling it all into her style. She will also speak about how not nurturing these parts of ourselves can lead to burn-out or artistic ruts and what she does to get through those hard times when we create blockades for ourselves.

    Who Is The Webinar For?

This webinar is for anyone who struggles with artistic burnouts or ruts, anyone who wants to experiment but perhaps lacks the confidence to go after it, and anyone who wants to expand their artistic wheelhouse. All levels/ages/mediums/experiences.

Why Is This Webinar Being Offered?

It is of the utmost importance that artists nurture their explorations and journeys. We have been brainwashed into thinking that we have to constantly put out 100% amazing work 100% of the time. It is an unrealistic expectation that can never be achieved. Now, more than ever, it is essential that we stop to think about what actually goes into making work you can be proud of and what toll this age of nonstop slew of apps screaming in our faces takes on our mental and artistic well-being.
